Why are we so misguided about stress?

I've believed my entire life that stress comes from work. It really doesn't. I've avoided hard work because of stress, and how it could lead to burn out etc. I've grown to believe the opposite.

I was raised around parents who would binge eat when they were stressed. They would avoid things just so that they wouldn't get stressed. But they were stressed anyway.

I've been listening to entrepreneurs lately about how keeping their body healthy & working long hours actually did the opposite for them. It fulfilled them. So I went on a quest to try it. The first few months were pretty tough because it went directly against my believe system.

Whenever my wife is out of town I have my old Ben & Jerry habit of downing a quick 1000 KCAL. Now after my habit changes, it made me stressed. Instead of getting stressed about work and always eating high amounts of fiber, the table has entirely flipped. I get stressed when I don't eat healthy, and don't feel like I'm doing enough.

A happy day is a productive one along with a good diet & exercise.
