Some Thoughts/Minor Nitpicks about The Great Circle

This is probably the best game I've played this year. I've already completed 100% of the game and am almost finished with my second playthrough. I’m approaching 100 hours of gameplay.

I just want to list a few thoughts and nitpicks I have.

  1. I think Gizeh should have given us a horse, camel, or even a motorbike to help traverse the area (the views are absolutely stunning!). At times, running across the map can feel a bit tedious. While I understand the appeal of fast travel, it sometimes breaks immersion for me (I know, I’m strange).

  2. Gordy Haab did an amazing job with the soundtrack. After rewatching the movies, I felt the game could have used a bit more of John Williams’ iconic cues, especially during more intense action sequences. I’m not saying the soundtrack was bad, but I’d have loved a bit more in that department.

  3. This is a stretch, but perhaps a New Game+ mode where we can play through the game again with a fully upgraded Indy, but with a higher difficulty, would be fun.

  4. I really enjoyed the linear levels, especially the handcrafted events we experienced in the opening, the Himalayas, and Shanghai. I would love to see more linear levels added in the sequel, along with more detailed semi-open worlds.

  5. I wish there had been more outfit options, such as TLC Indy, or even the KotCS outfit (I know he’s older, but still). Some other outfit variations would have been a great addition as well. I probably think we'll end up seeing additional outifts when nearing the ps5 port release.

Please note, these are just some thoughts I wanted to share. I’d also love to hear your thoughts and get your input on this discussion!
