What is the relationship like between Cambodia and Hungary?

I'm reading a biography by a Cambodian author right now and learned that Hungary helped Cambodia in the 80s by building orphanages there and allowing refugees. I was very surprised because I never knew Hungary and Cambodia interacted in history. I thought they were basically strangers because they're so far away. Now I'm curious. What is Hungary's relationship with Cambodia like? Did Hungary have political motives to help them or was it just kindness? How many Cambodians live in Hungary today? Do Hungarian students learn about Cambodia in their history class?
