HELP: Mysterious, Loud, Intermittent Popping Noise in House (new construction)
So, my wife and I recently closed on a new construction townhouse in Florida (first in the community). After moving in and being in the house for longer than 30 minutes like we had been over the past few months as it was being built to do so walkthroughs, we are experiencing a loud pop that occurs every three hours or so in our living/kitchen area (it’s a three story townhouse with open plan on second level where kitchen and living room are). It’s not during any particular time of day or night, it’s all the time. Our dog goes nuts every time she hears it...very annoying. We’ve tried to track it down, but I honestly don’t really know where to start because it’s so random with the times that unless I’m physically standing next to it when it happens, it’s just a loud pop coming from the vicinity of the kitchen. Obviously, all appliances, plumbing, and HVAC are brand new, so I don’t think it is related to any of that...but I may be wrong. There are no blown fuses or visible indication that it’s electrical in nature. We have our doorbell chime and alarm system siren in the area of where it’s coming from, and thought it may be one of those, but again, we can’t pinpoint the source. Any ideas on how to figure this out would be much appreciated, and would ease our sanity.
