Buttkicker gamer Plus Amp not recognized when connected via USB

Hey guys I've had a Buttkicker gamer Plus for a couple years now and have always used it via Y splitter to a USB soundcard but I'm reading that I may be losing some fidelity if not connected to the amp via USB.

Here's where I am stuck. When I connect the buttkicker Amp to my PC nothing is recognized. I've tried swapping USB cords and ports with no success. I understand I'm supposed to see Speakers(Buttkicker Plus) or something similar available I. Windows and Hapticonnect is that correct?

Do I have a bad USB connection on my Amp or am I missing drivers somewhere?

I can always go back to me USB soundcard but if there's higher fidelity available I'd like to capitalize.
