Simplisafe Simplicam video recording when alarm triggered

Hey guys! I'm now starting to get invested into the whole homebridge-homekit ecosystem.

My plan is to purchase a Simplisafe Security kit (because it's cheaper than abode) and add homekit functionality via homebridge.

Being very new to all of this and overwhelmed by all the information, I have some noob questions:

• Can I see the Simplisafe cameras and live stream inside of Apple Home?
• Can I record video when the alarm is triggered and have it stored somewhere I want? (sd card or external storage) The monitoring plan is not available in my country and not worth the money to simply have video storage.
• Should I consider another alternative? What works great with homebridge and is relatively cheap?
