What makes you say 'yes' to a particular Hobonichi Techo ?

This may be a more educational or a practicality probe than an actual Hobonichi-related question. But, please bear with me , I'm just curious, and interested in making better informed decisions when I choose a Hobonichi Techo !

For a given layout (say weeks or A6 or A5) Given the wide selection of the cover designs (or the cover on cover designs), how do you guys decide which one / ones that you wanna go for ? I'm not talking about Avec vs. Cousin vs. Weeks sort of thing. But weeks vs. weeks or hon vs. hon or cover vs. cover. Is there a detailed decision making process that any of you guys follow based on your past experience working with Hobonichi or planners in general or is it more of a gut-feeling ?

In case of the former , what things do you guys consider ? Do you look for an overall vibe/aesthetic, maintainability of the cover, setting in which you will be using it (professional/personal) , practical concerns, collectible value, etc. ? In the case of the latter, where you wing it with what you like, what happens if you like more than 2-3 ones but do not have use for more than one.

I understand that some of you may pick up all the ones. I know , I have the habit of doing that as well - but I am looking to understand some practical guidance on the matter of curbing the urge to buy more of the same kind. So any tips or mind-tricks would be more than welcome !

Thanks !
