Are Trelawnyz lessons anything but rubbish?

Been playing Lego Harry Potter, and the first scene of divination class had me in stitches. That said, is divination/occlumency verified bs in the HP universe or is it just implied?

Sorry if I'm getting any terms wrong, the series is close to my heart but haven't read the books in a while
