It would've been cool if Ernie Macmillan accompanied the golden and silver trio to the Ministry in OotP
Ernie Macmillan has always been an interesting character to me. He's a bit pompous like Percy, studious, but also fiercely loyal to his friends and school. There are two reasons why I think it would've been cool to see him go to the Ministry along with the other six.
It would've given Hufflepuff some representation in a group that had 5 Gryffindors and a Ravenclaw.
It would've increased the number of people from 6 to 7, which is the most magically powerful number.
Some people may not agree as he's not as important as the other six, but had he been included, he actively would've become more important.
