Is green day still punk in your opinion?

To me they gradually stopped being punk after nimrod. Obviously they got some very punkish songs after that but they are mostly this kind of pop stadium rock band with punk flavour after that. I don’t see anything wrong with that I might add. 1039, kerplunk, Dookie and Insomniac are definitely pop punk.

Also don’t hit me with the age old “green day stopped being punk when they signed to a major label to make dookie”. I known its unlikely because most people here are like 14-18 and have never listened to discharge or the exploited or really any other punk music.
