can i study abroad?

Literally my question. I’m a green card holder and I would like to study dentistry abroad in my home country. I do not want to lose my green card and i’m just exploring the possibility. I have completed 2 years of college so far, and I have prob 3 more (changed my major lol)

Is this a possibility? would it hurt my chances of getting citizenship if I want to get it?
