In the ancient world, are there any other locations in Eurasia that occupy a better strategic geographical position than the land that Georgia resides on?

It is situated right on the shores of the Black Sea and not far from Caspian Sea. Greater Caucasus to the north, Lesser Caucasus to the south, both acting as great natural defenses. Especially the Greater Caucasus in the north, as I think the area was one of the few that wasn’t overrun by the earliest horse-riding warriors originating on the grassland of the Pontic-Caspian steppe. It has a pretty diverse geography too, with ample fertile land, extensive plains, tons of rivers, navigable marshes, and plenty of forests. The area is also rich in natural resources; coal, copper, gold, iron ore. All in all, not a bad place to be in the ancient world.
