People online are taking gaming WAY too seriously.
This might sound really odd in a gaming sub and I spend a great deal amount of time both playing and discussing games. I love games. But I genuinely feel that way when I see online discussions over time. This shouldn't be a second job and if you're asking questions about which games (and order) to play as if you're ticking boxes instead of playing games you want to play, I think one should reflect on their relationship with their hobbies. This should be something we engage in for fun. And if you're not having fun or not feeling like gaming it shouldn't be some sign that something is wrong with you - it's just you take some time off gaming and return. I took 2 months off almost entirely from gaming last year and had a good time with other hobbies. I dunno, it's just something that bothers me with a lot of online discourse.
