The Spotify XI

A while ago I had a random thought: I wonder if there are songs named after footballers. I’m not talking about fan songs I’m talking about actually proper songs. So popped Samuel Eto'o’s name into the Spotify search function and a Spanish banger popped out. So my next thought was could I make a XI of songs named after footballers.

Behold the Spotify XI.

The rules I made for making this XI were:

1) It had to be a proper XI that could functionally exist. The positions are not 100% perfect but the this is a functional team.

2) The songs couldn’t be fan songs written by club ultras. They had to stand on their own as songs.

3) The artists had to be real so they have to had at least 3 songs with at least 10,000 streams.
