I don’t fully understand the hate the Russel M Nelson gets

Don't misunderstand, I’m not trying to defend him. I'm just hoping to get a better understanding of “the wrongs of ‘Rusty’”.

I understand the hate against Bednar (he’s an asshole) and Oaks (very harmful to LGBTQ).  I was there even as a nuanced TBM.

It seems like the main complaint against Nelson is the axing of “Mormon”.  I agree it’s annoying, but is this the main reason for the hate against Nelson?  It feels like there’s gotta be something more substantial.

Personal background: Very devout/orthodox Mormon who left the church in 2021 after 6 years of being crushed by my shelf of faith.  I was raised to respect and honor authority figures in the church, which unfortunately is ingrained in me even after leaving. To the point that using the nickname “Rusty” feels wrong. That is the root of my inquiry. I hate feeling the need to be respectful to a man who heads an organization that lied to me and severed my relationship with the god of my childhood.  But here I am.

I approach this conversation from the personal belief that the Q-15 genuinely believe they are “prophet, seers, and revelators” and that they believe they are doing good in the world.
