offerings, offerings, offerings

reading my bible again because i can't help but roll my eyes to the past couple of lessons. i take notes during the service and read them myself later to see what they really mean without the whole money narrative, and all of the "offerings" pertain to just offering yourself to God or to give to charity. there's this one verse they love to use:

Galatians 6:7, "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap"

inc said that this pertains to monetary offerings (and even with the lesson about how to not mock God a couple weeks ago = give more money!!!!), but if the worshippers even just took a second to open a bible, they'd see that the next verses are talking about how we should conduct ourselves, whether we choose to give ourselves to the "flesh" or to the Spirit.

i could go on and on about other verses.. "don't be lovers of money" my ass...
