Express Impress

For as long as I can remember I have always had a Latte every single morning. Currently, I am in the phase of buying from the Costa express machines or going to a Costa shop. I have a Tassimo machine, which I sort of persevered with for a couple of years on and off, but to be honest, it tastes like crap compared to Costa so I have given up on this and I am now looking for an upgrade.

I am fairly simple and also fairly lazy. I don't have time in the morning to be weighing everything, manually making sure everything is perfect for the perfect coffee. I simply want to wake up and make the best possible Latte in the shortest amount of time with the least amount of effort.

Essentially, I want something that is easy to use, as automated as possible and will make me a nice Latte which is as good or better than the Costa Express machines / Costa shop.

Is the Barista Express Impress a good choice? I realise there are cheaper machines available but I quite like the tamping feature built into the machine and I am happy to pay £700 for the convivence and would technically pay for itself after 6 months vs buying Costa. I do like the look of the Touch Impress, but I can't really justify spending £1200 on a Coffee Machine.

Will this machine make Lattes which are just as good if not better than Costa?
