Please don't steal on customers behalf!
A comment from a restaurant manager (me):
If your customer places a comment saying to get them a drink, but it's not on their actual order [meaning they didn't pay for) please for the love of our jobs here at the restaurant do not get that drink even if the soda cooler is in the lobby.
I just had my cashier tell me a dasher yelled at him for telling the dasher there's no 2 liter on the order and asked the dasher to put it back because we quite literally get fired over this because to our superiors it is theft done on our shift. Please don't.
Ps. Don't yell at my staff when the order isn't done because you arrived within seconds of us even getting the order. It's not our fault doordash sends you to us way too early. We set the confirmation for 20 minutes for a reason.
