[Help] My dog eats his own poop

Hello! Asking lang if you have the same issue as my puppy. I recently adopted a Maltese-Shih Tzu mix (4mos old). Super sweet nya and kulit. I can’t ask for a better 1st puppy! We’ve had dogs before pero never na ako yung actual pet owner. And never kame nagkaroon ng gantong issue.

Nadiscover ko na kinakain nya yung poop nya! What I do to stop it is nakabantay ako lagi tuwing schedule na nya ng poop which is after nya kumain.

Asked the vet (wala yung actual vet nya kaya yung assistant lang nya yung natanong ko) and they mentioned na common daw yun sa Shih Tzu na breed and recommended na try ko daw lagyan ng hot sauce yung poop nya.

I haven’t tried that yet. Pero baka may ma-recommend kayo na pwede gawin to stop my pup from eating his poop 🥲
