Fan Theory about The Trickster in RTD2
I just watched a video about how Ruby sings The Trickster's theme (Sarah Jane Adventures) in "The Devils Chord" when possessed by Maestro, and it got me thinking. I did some research, since I'm yet to watch the SJA, and apparently The Trickster is known to target people who are dying/nearly dead and offer to rewrite their timeline. This reminded me of "73 Yards", when Ruby is on her deathbed and awakens as the mysterious woman, putting herself in a time loop that she eventually breaks. My previous assumption was that the spirits she disrespected at the start of the episode put her in the time loop as a punishment/lesson to never do it again, and I still think that's why the mysterious woman exists. However, could it be possible that The Trickster came to Ruby at her moment of need and is now psychically bonded to her, explaining why she sings his theme? Could it be similar to Tegan's relationship with The Mara?
What do we think of this theory? I'd love to hear from people who know more about the SJA and The Trickster, because admittedly I'm somewhat out of my depth.
