What cool environmental/item/improvised stuff should martials be able to do?
I've been homebrewing a martial class that gets options that aren't just take the attack action over and over, in the vein of a maneuver user (actual D&D maneuvers, not the crap the battlemaster gets) except gated by stamina/momentum/whatever it ends up being called. And, as my players dropped a chandelier onto a BBEG with 500hp who took 6d6 damage and didn't give a shit, I realised that all those environmental kinds of effects and stuff like tossing vials of acid completely fail to scale later into the game.
So, one of those maneuver disciplines (placeholder name is Ingenuity) became ways to use that kind of thing. It's not the only focus, there are plenty of other disciplines based on more traditional martial effects, but I realised there was a sharp lack of ways to do shit like... well, use a torch to set someone on fire and have it matter. Current numbers and stamina cost are a work in progress, but should serve to give an indicator of relative strength. Here are a few sample ones, I would really like more ideas on the kind of thing to include.
