Is anyone working 1 hour per month just to qualify for Medicaid buy-in?
In my state my SSDI benefits make me ineligible for Medicaid.
However there is a buy-in program where working adults can get Medicaid, and there is no minimum for the number of hours worked or wages received. I’ve heard of people working literally 1 hour a month, like selling 1 thing on Etsy or watching the neighbor’s dog one time or something.
Has anyone done this successfully?
My main concerns are getting kicked off SSDI. I just got approved and I’ve heard if you start working within the first 2 years it automatically triggers another medical review.
I also don’t know how blatant you’re allowed to be about barely working just to qualify. Obviously I wouldn’t want to get in trouble for Medicaid fraud.
Anyone have experience with this?
