Saga of cool flat mates in Delhi

So, I live in a 2bhk with a random person living as my flat mate. Earlier we used to clean the common hall and balcony on weekends. Eventually it stopped happening as sometimes I wouldn't be here and sometimes he wouldn't be here.

Now I suggested that we ask the maid to clean the flat for nominal 1000 rupees to be equally divided.

Flat mate is like I don't use the hall, so I won't pay for cleaning and don't need the room clean.

I had two clear pathways in front of me and I chose the most suitable one for me which is: paying maid 500 for a month to clean the Hall and my room twice a week.

Who else has such flat mates?
