Is this common endearment from a UK based guy?

Those from UK or Europe in general, is it normal for guys to say sweetheart or sleep well love usually to someone who you're talking to the first time?

I have just started talking to a guy who is UK based and he in our text conversation he said "sweetheart" in a sentence and "sleep well love".

Is it common?
