How can I get over my fear of men?
I know this is quite a silly question but I am genuinely afraid of talking to most guys if it's not needed. Sometimes I'm completely fine vibing with some guys and doing normal work with them but most of the time I get really nervous and feel uncomfortable for no reason. I think it's probably that awkward feeling and being guarded with people you know you can possibly be in a relationship with. Some guys have told my close gal friends that I seem very closed off and guarded, which I realized I unintentionally am around them.
I am 21F for context and know that most of it has to do with me not having that much experience and "being young." The thing is I'm afraid this will continue and am even trying to make eye contact with guys is scary for me (I am aware how childish this sounds). I don't want to be like this and want to just be able to be myself around everyone including guys!
I don't know where this fear started but I've always been more comfortable and more myself with other women or gay guy friends. I feel safe and connected with my gal friends. I've never been sexually assaulted or abused by men. I've met really genuine and kindhearted guys and naturally also more egotistical and immature guys but the negative experiences with guys that look down on women makes me afraid of all guys in general.
Can anyone provide any tips on how I can improve and just interact with guys like normal people?
