Young Cubans?

Got a few Partagas D4 and Montecristo No. 2 that have been sitting in my humidor for a month. Wanting to try them out to see if I’d like a box of them to age, but I also don’t want to smoke them if they’re somewhat mediocre young.

Should I wait to see how they “accurately” are at the proper age, or will it be similar enough? I haven’t ever smoked a new Cuban that hasn’t lost its ammonia/bite yet, so I don’t want to waste a nice smoke if it’s not going to be a good representation of the series?
