"I'll NEVER crochet that again!" What are your no-go crochet projects?
You tried it once, spent countless hours/days/weeks driving yourself crazy to make it. It never came out right, wasn't as cute as you hoped, or fuck it, just give up!
For some it's clean edges on a flat panel, or maybe working in the round and keeping count, maybe it's the dreaded "6 day" star blanket, but we all have an albatross in crochet, the above examples are what I've heard before, what are yours?
For me it's the classic blanket, basic and unremarkable, satisfying to make but otherwise undistinguishable from all the rest. Purely because I see so many of them in the thrift shops and I mourn the time and effort that went into their creation just for me to buy them for $3-5 to salvage the yarn for cheap.
Another is amigurumi that uses smaller hooks, only because I developed RSI from trying to make little birds for my niece, I can never do tight, precise work now, :(
My mom drove herself up the wall trying the "6 day" star blanket, after several days she decided that she would continue with the atrocity she was creating instead and I'll post postures once that is complete. She says, "never again"
