[Spoilers C3E101] I am lost and hoping to understand at least a little

I listen and watch this show very casually. I listened to episode 99 and half of episode 100 but I could not seem to grasp what was happening. That is very troubling considering that this is probably a pivotal moment in how Bells Hells moves forward against Ludinus and Predathos. When struggling with main episodes I turned to youtube recaps and written recaps. I just kinda wanna see if I can pull together the simplest interpretation of what has happened in the three episodes of Downfall as I can.

What I can pull together is that the city of Aeor had a god killer. Several prime deities snuck aboard with the intention of destroying just the god killer and the plans for it. Some Betrayer gods were also on board with the intent to raze the city itself. Plans were forced to move quicker than the deities had anticipated and knowledge of the god killer was spread amongst all the mages of the city. This meant the deities chose to destroy the whole city, despite their earlier plan to spare the city and its inhabitants.

I know I'm missing an absolute TON of details out of the 10+ hours of role play and I will struggle for it for probably the rest of the campaign. The gods own emotions and beliefs are a major part of the story and will play heavily in to how Bells Hells reacts to what Ludinus has shown them and I did not absorb any of it. I want to ask is there anything I misinterpreted story wise or other major revelations that will come into play tonight that I should understand? I know I cant get all the information but any little bit helps.
