Clear CMAS Icon on External Display?

My dad got a CMAS weather alert on his Cellular Link II. Now his external display has a CMAS warning symbol icon and we can't figure out how to clear it. All alert messages have been cleared but it didn't clear the icon. I can't find documentation in the manual about it. Does anyone know?
