I wish there was a phone free concert.

Hear me out. We go to watch movies all the time and switch off our phones with no hesitation. What if there was something similar for concerts, especially since Coldplay has xylobands. No need to have your phone out for lights and mood stuff either.

Everyone could get a copy of the professionally shot concert at the end of the show for memories. They could even point multiple cameras at the crowd capturing them like Disney or Universal rides that they can pay for if they want.

Just clear unobstructed view of the stage and the band for everyone.

An additional bounus is that I think it would weed out a significant portion of people that were there just for the reels and stories.

Edit:

I was going to reply to everyone but I'm kind of running late for work so just going to put my closing thoughts here. Obviously I'm not an expert at concert management or anything like that I'm sure there are better solutions than what I suggested. May be just a tiny zone for people that prefer it idk really.

Look guys I'm not trying to dictate anything for everyone. Just what I think would have enhanced my experience personally. When Shone, Elyanna and even Jasleen played I had a clear unobstructed view of the stage, could see the whole performance. I had afterall come super early just so I could. I was unfortunately stuck around people that clearly were there for some sort of clout, I even heard them explicitly use the word fomo when they were talking with each other about why they tried so hard to get tickets etc amongst eachother. I know that many people had a great experience with Tuesdays crowd but all I could see for most part of the Coldplay performance was just phones, disrespectful people pushing people so they could make their reels when we barely had enough place to stand. Of course this isn't true for everyone that chose to record or use their phones but when you get pushed and almost fall because someone must get the right angle for their shot during a song that they don't know and hence don't care for but is one of your favorites you do start wondering if that shot was perhaps necessary.

I have been to concerts where I didn't know the lyrics to every song and that is not my expectation from everyone either. I just wish everyone had prioritized listening to the music and experiencing the performance first hand as they had paid for.
