Civ VII is amazing (people not so much)

Because of all the negativity and the complaints about the UI and unpolished stuff, I was a bit sceptical before I started my first game. But holy crap was I mislead.

Yes, the UI is not finished and a lot of stuff needs tweaking and a polish. But honestly? After an hour of playing I didn't even notice it anymore.
The game has so much new things to offer, the game design is engaging, the possibilities seem endless and I haven't even finished the first age yet. So many decisions to make that shape your empire!
After getting to a point in Civ VI where every game felt the same, I love how refreshing Civ VII feels.
The graphics are beautiful, the music is perfect. The city building feels like you actually have to make an educated decision each time you can grow it or place down a building.

And yet, all I see are complaints about the unfinished UI. I honestly wonder how it is possible to be fixated on such little details and let them ruin your experience. As I said, the game has so much to offer and focusing on how a stupid line in the tech tree doesn't line up with the next one seems just insane to me.

Sadly, I believe that a lot of people who now decided to not buy are missing out.

So, please, if you agree, share some positivity.

I want to thank the whole Firaxis team and everyone who was involved for making this happen. All the petty complaints can and will be fixed soon, because they are no big deal at all. Instead, you focused on getting the core mechanics right. And that was the right decision. Thank you!
