Birthday deliveries/appearances

My partner’s 40th birthday is this year in December. I want to make it special and memorable. Part of my idea is sending a slew of things (not sure what - flowers, balloons, cupcakes, maybe something more obscure/funny) to him at work throughout the day. I also want to get a bunch of people/groups to come by and deliver messages, I think they are called singing telegrams like the kind you see in movies. I’m envisioning a Mariachi band. A clown. Some sort of movie character impersonator. Maybe a guy playing an accordion.
