Am I just not sophisticated
So my cigar journey started back in 2004 when I turned 18 and I fell madly in love. smoked pretty much daily for about 6 years and then life happened. In the last 6 months or so I was able to get back into it and even brought my best friend with me. Out of all the cigars I've smoked in years I know what I like and what I love and to be honest I haven't really ran into any I hated and couldn't finish with the exception of a Gurkha I don't remember the series and a run and cola from flavor, 2 of the shittiest tasting sticks from the bowls of hell.
So any way I know what flavors and tastes I prefer but I can never pick out the subtle flavors like red pepper, leather, those kinds of things. They always either just taste fantastic and I want boxes, good and I'll keep a few in my humidor at all fonts l times, or meh is smoke it again over in awhile. While I can pick up on life the sweetness and sometimes even the nuttiness for the most part my cave man brain either goes mmmmm me like but more or mmmm get a few to have. I take my time smoking, retrohale quite a bit but just don't get the nuances even after years. Don't get it twisted I'll always smoke cigars and smoke what I like even if other people hate on it. Just wondering if I'm missing out on other things that I just can't taste
