Padron Family Reserve - Natural or Maduro?

My first experience with Padron was a huge disappointment - 1926 Maduro with a super tight draw, burned poorly, and no complexity in the flavor. It was stored in near-perfect conditions for months, so maybe it was just the rare dud.

I want to give it another shot since it's so highly regarded everywhere.
Planning on getting one of the Family Reserve samplers, either in Natural or Maduro.

Tasting notes I enjoy are nutty, creamy, coffee, wood, light spices, maybe some leather and chocolate, and not much pepper. Would I more likely enjoy the natural or maduro more?
