“Fascism” became a catch-all for anything right of Far Left
“One of the greatest challenges in highlighting the dangers of extreme leftism is the characterization of “fascism” to describe anything right of far left.
In this way, the political spectrum is not as it is, with communism to the far left and fascism to the far right, but instead, reorganized as such -
Farthest left: communism; just right of communism: socialism; just right of socialism: fascism; fascism; fascism; fascism; fascism; fascism; fascism; fascism.
In this way, challenges to the oft faulty (or reductive) rubric of the oppressed/oppressor dynamic inherent to communist/socialist ideology are dismissed as derivatives of fascism.
The weaponization of fascism (or some other heinous equivalent) as a cudgel to silence dissent is not by accident. It is the most frequently exploited tool for suppressing challenges to the narrative.“

Love the quote. What do the centrists here think? (If you’re not a centrist you can obviously reply but please let me know that you don’t consider yourself a centrist first)
