Please Help - Cat peeing on clothes and bed

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend and I got our cat as a kitten about 2 years ago from an animal shelter. He was about 2 months old at the time. Years have gone by and he continues to use his litter box, but he also pees on clothes right out of the dryer, and even on the bedspread from time to time. We have no idea what to do, and my girlfriend has been extremely upset about the idea of having to give him up due how much of an impact this is having on her. He has extreme anxiety problems and is very clingy to my girlfriend.

If anyone has had this problem before or knows any potential solutions, please let me know.
