Which V8? - Gen5 vs Gen6

Hi everyone!

I’m in the market for a 2010-2018 SS V8. Not set on manual or auto but I’m trying to filter through which engines are best and most reliable. I just finished rebuilding a 6.6L Duramax and don’t want another project right away. It looks like it’s L99 (for auto) and LS3 (for manual) for the 10-15, and the LT1 (for both transmissions) or the 16-18. But I know the L99 has known issues with the AFM and I wonder if that was fixed or carried into the LT1. I’m just trying to learn as much as possible to minimize my headaches as I do my own maintenance. Thank you for all the advice!
