Refusing paci

Ftm here! My baby is 9 weeks old and pretty much nurses solely off me, except for around a 5hourish period at night where his dad takes over if he wakes and feeds him my pumped milk. When he was first born I was super worried about him getting a good latch because I have short and slightly flat nipples( though I think they’re elastic as well? they stretch a ton when I pump) The lactation nurse told me to wait to use a bottle and paci so he wouldn’t get confused. After around a week I was so tired we introduced a bottle so I could sleep and he took it fine. However, we didn’t really push or try a paci until around 5ish weeks. He absolutely refuses them, even the Dr Browns one that matches his bottles. He doesn’t always gag, but he’ll suck and then push it out after a few seconds. I know it’s better to not need to wean, but sometimes he wants to comfort suck and I’ve been so over touched I’d do anything to keep him from being latched 247. How do I get him to use pacifiers? Or am I just stuck with a baby that refuses?
