What are some things you wish your orthodontic assistant did?

I'm really hoping this is okay to post, I saw a similar post about things NOT to do and I wanted to get the flip side! I just started as an orthodontic assistant (first day was today!) and I want to make things as comfortable for patients as possible. As someone who dealt with crusty old assistants when I had braces, I fully understand the frustration of having someone be way too rough and then act like you're an idiot for being in pain 🤣

So I want to ask all of you, what are some things you wish your assistants would do? Anything and everything that will help me improve is welcome! Thank you!
