In search of decent chicken tikka masala?

Hi, we eat a ton of Indian food and cook it ourselves at home occasionally. We’ve found a number of good Indian restaurants in the greater Boston area but one dish seems to be bizarrely elusive - good, complex, slightly spicy Chicken Tikka Masala? Everyplace I’ve gone, it seems to be simple and sweet to sickeningly sweet - not like I’ve had it in other cities in the west coast of the US or throughout the UK. Honestly not sure why it’s so hard to find here - is it just a regional style in New England? We’ve had good north and South Indian food, know multiple places with excellent biryanis, paper dosas, you name it. We have a huge south Asian community in the greater Boston area, really surprised that there isn’t one place that’s got a decent CTM. (And yes, I know most south asians aren’t ordering CTM, but hey..) Best we’ve found is at Tashan in Bedford, but that’s still sweeter than we’d like it to be.

Any and all suggestions on where to find a CTM that doesn’t taste like someone added a half cup of sugar to it would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!
