Is Bollywood too desperate for a Gen Z superstar? (Body text)

From Rajesh Khanna to Hrithik Roshan, from Boomers to Millennial.. we have all seen what an aura of a superstar is.. how a superstar is celebrated.. the fans in hoardes, the desire to catch a glimpse.. The excitement for the forthcoming release, getting a ticket in a houseful theatre.. and desperately waiting for the next project. That feeling was something different. The era of superstars

Let's say in 2010s, this era started to fade... Yes we had actors like Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh etc. but none had that fan following and aura, actors like Salman, SRK and ABsr. has. But still Some actors are considered decent.

Cut back to 2025... We see the agressive PR teams of some debutants/newcomers trying to push them hard to become the next Gen Superstar... The PR team of Veer Pahariya is though agressive but is damn stupid (like are you really gonna compare him with Maverick from Top Gun?? Seriously?), Rasha Thandani is there (Ok that performance isn't bad but PR is too damn agressive with that) and that song Loveyapa is stuck to my mind.. it has literally swarmed my IG Feeds.. (With that weird-@$$ robot dance by barely expressive Junaid and overly expressive Khushi).

Talking about relatively seniors to them, Kartik Aryan's PR tries so hard to portray him as someone who has capable shoulders to carry the entire industry. (his non nepo tag is just cherry on top)

So what is it with Bollywood... Has the industry lost all it's hope?? Are we done with the superstar culture or have we not found any actor with that Superstar charm??

Let's discuss
