As an Older Player

I was wondering if any of you around my age range feel the same. I am turning 34 at the end of this year. In my youth, I was an active player on Call of Duty. I partook in clan tournaments as they were called back then and won a tournament (mind you this was nowhere near the scene it is now). I was a pretty good player. Of course, as we age, we have to accept that we get slower. But I am just not having fun.

I have an elim ratio of 1.3, my highest killstreak is 28 and I am still pretty decent I would say. But I just can't breathe ... It is so obvious the way this game works. You get a game or three that are with players of your skill level, then you get an easier lobby for a dopamine rush to get you going.

But in my mind, I'm already thinking of the challenging games coming up. Mind you, I am also a solo player and it's rough out there. I do hold my own, and I would say I am pretty evenly matched in the "sweat" lobbies. But there is no relaxation. It's anticipation of having to slide and bunny hop and having the reaction times of a 20 year old ...

The games I am in are mostly kill trading, insanely fast movement, insanely fast spawn flipping, dark matter players, nukers, ... I just uninstalled the game. I get why SMBB is a thing, but for players like me, it's not fun. How does my generation of players experience this?
