Bill's 2021 NFL Draft Mistakes Pod

Relisten to it right now if you have the time. It's from November 18th, 2021. It's famous around here for Bill taking a way premature victory lap on Mac Jones which aged in the worst possible way. However what people don't talk about is how every single take that any of the 3 people made in this podcast has aged like milk. It is truly impressive to be this wrong about this many things. Outside of the insane Mac Jones glazing (compared him to Tom Brady multiple times) we have

  • If Kyle Pitts stays healthy he will definitely be one of the most productive Tight Ends of all time (averaging 40 ypg since then)

  • Schrager said he'd take Chase over Justin Jefferson long term because "Chase has the chance to be a top 3 WR in the league." Now he's not wrong about Chase but that implies that Jefferson doesn't have a chance at being a top 3 WR which is NUTS bc Jefferson was already top 3 in 2021.

  • Jared Goff is a disaster for the Lions and they should have taken Fields or Mac instead of Penai Sewell. Danny Kelly said Goff is the worst starter in the NFL and Schrager said the Lions might bench him for Tim Boyle. They fucking hammered him

  • The Dolphins also should've taken Fields and given Tua the Josh Rosen treatment after one season

  • They really just talk up every one of these rookie QBs. Mac obviously got glazed like crazy but they also sing Fields' praises and Schrager says that while Wilson was put in a bad situation "he's gonna be awesome"

  • The Eagles should've taken Fields or Mac over DeVonta Smith because "they're both better than Jalen Hurts"

  • The Lions are in the top 3 "teams that should hate themselves for this draft"

I don't expect people who talk about sports to be right all the time but I feel like you should get something right. Why tf do I listen to these pods all the time when they're gonna be wrong about anything (I will continue to listen anyway because what else am I gonna do in the car, listen to my own dark thoughts?)
