The ugly, the bad, and the good
The ugly: Being 1-4 and our defense being the reason. All of our losses have been by less than a TD. On average we are losing by less than 4 points. Our defense hasn’t been able to stop opposing offenses and we just lost Dax for potentially the year. And also the no balls play calling by ZT. Can’t be understated enough. He needs to give up play calling like yesterday.
The bad: being 0-3 in the AFC. Like last year, this really hurt us with potential tiebreakers, not that we clutched it anyway but still an important factor.
The good: Our offense is playing at such a high level and Joe Burrow is having an MVP season stat wise. And, most importantly, we are only two games back in our division and we still have 5 division games to play. This is the true silver lining considering the Browns are literally imploding, the Steelers are coming back down to earth, and the Ravens are definitely beatable. Also, our defense held the Ravens run game in check for like 90% of the game. That’s with the return of some of the starters we were missing.
In my opinion, we definitely won’t be getting a wild card spot. And if there’s ANY hope for this season we would need to win the North. And that means the Ravens need to fall off AND we need to clutch the remaining 5 divisional games.
