Is two days of lifting/gym work enough?
I have been a casual boulderer for several years and last year I took up yoga in a big way. I also started getting into running. I would categorize myself as being in good but not great shape. I like being active but I have never approached with with any amount of focus.
What I am finding however, is that in my 30s, is that my time is more limited than my interests are. I'd really like to focus on taking my fitness to the next level over the winter. What this means is I'm thinking about eliminating the bouldering and refocusing on gym work. With that said, I don't want to give up yoga or running. So this is the split I am thinking of:
Monday: Power Flow Yoga
Tuesday: Casual / distance run
Wednesday: Power Flow Yoga
Thursday: Intense Run
Friday: Gym (Upper body)
Saturday: Gym (Lower body), recovery cardio
Sunday: Rest
Will this be reasonably effective?
