Does it go on sale on gplay?

I know this will come off as cheap but i use ARS and with the tax and all the game is a little steep for me to buy on android (12usd is like 4 delivery meals here). Does it ever go on sale on the play store? Did anyone ever see it happen? Should i just give up and pay? It would mean i can't have pepsi twist for about two weeks
