Guy tried to beat me up outside my work

Guy tried to beat me up in front of my work last night. He sucker punched me while I was sitting on a curb wearing rollerblades. I grabbed him by the chain he had on and he kept hitting me in the nose. I didn't want to hurt him so I didn't hit back. My nose got a little swollen and bloody. I feel like I made the right decision the guy didn't even hit as hard as my ex. Loser even sucker punched me and knocked me over after I picked up my small dog. My nose is still bleeding pretty bad off and on.

Edit update:There are cameras at several places in the area. I did file a police report and EMS checked me out on site. . They were worried about me hitting my head I guess when I got hit with my dog I didn't let go of him to protect him and kinda landed on my head . I have a headache and am a little sore and my nose is fine I've broken my nose before and it is not broken just a bit swollen. I just don't like violence unless it is a life or death situation. I didn't deem it one. Thank you all for reading and showing support.
