What is something you would want as a gift?

I need to get a gift for my friend (14m) but I don't know what to get him. He likes videogames (Specifically tetris) and thats about all I got. He told me he doesn't know what he wants and to not get him anything but I have a massive ego. Therefore I refuse to back down. (Think fighting to pay the bill) What should I get him? We have been friends for less then 2 months so don't judge me for not knowing anything about him.
