Possible License Suspension for 75 MPH Over Out of State

In November I got a speeding ticket in GA for doing 83 in a 65. Yes I know that is stupid but it was a mistake. I just got a letter saying that my license will be suspended for 30 days due to this infraction. I called a traffic lawyer and said I have two options. 1. take the suspension and just don't get pulled over or 2. Request a hearing and they will sometimes provide a probation period instead of the suspension.

I have already requested the hearing since I don't want to deal with the fear of getting pulled over in that 30 days.

Anyone have experience with this? I have a clean record and I cannot ever recall getting a speeding ticket before so I am hoping this will be a positive out come.

Edit: I already paid the ticket in the GA County the ticket took place in.
