What jobs can a former teacher do?

I am currently a teacher in Anchorage, but I feel that it's time for a career change. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from UAA. I have been teaching for six years. I want to stay in Anchorage and be paid enough to continue living in my 2br apartment ($1500/month). I'm not sure who would even be interested in hiring me based on my work history. (Before teaching, I was a truck driver. I'm not interested in going back to that.) I want to do something that would be meaningful and helpful for others, whether it's kids or adults I'm helping. It doesn't have to be education based. I have certainly learned some management skills and I can work well with others, I'm just not sure what other jobs would be well suited for the skills I have gained during my time as a teacher.
